Description

Maasor dula is a narrow-necked basket to store and carry fish. It has openings in the bottom for water to drain, while its narrow neck prevents fish from jumping out. It can have a handle for carrying, and two strings to convert the basket into a backpack for easy transport. Maasor dula can come in different sizes but usually holds two to three kilograms of fish. Rohingya fishermen often take their sons with them to carry maasor dula. After a successful fishing trip, the fishermen and his son go directly to the market to sell their catch transporting it in the basket.
